Put Your Freedom To Good Use

Many of us wish to be set free from all the chains but we don’t really know how to do so. We as the children of Christ are set free from all kinds of sins as our Lord has died for all our sins on the cross. As the Lord has granted us freedom, now all we have to do is to live according to His will and use the freedom that He has given us to exalt His name.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Galatians 5:1

As we take a look at this verse, it explains that the Lord has given us complete freedom to do anything that glorifies His name. We should be very wise on what we choose to do with the freedom that we have. With this freedom that we have, we can be generous and help others who are in need. We can also use this freedom to love others just like Christ have loved us unconditionally. The next line then explains how we have been set free. Set free from all the sins, death and also curses. We would only be able to experience this freedom when we put all our Faith on the Almighty.

‘Stand firm’ then explains how we should be firm in maintaining our freedom and not misuse the freedom that the Lord has given to us. In the next line, we could see that God is saying to us that we should not let ourselves be burdened again by falling back to the past bondages. We should be careful as we fall into bondages only because we allow ourselves to do so. This is a reminder that no matter how we use this freedom, we should make sure that it does not lead us back to those bondages that we have freed ourselves from. We should not also put the heavy and burdensome yoke back onto us and bear the pain for Christ has finished all our sins and suffering on the cross.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

2 Corinthians 3:17

We can only experience freedom spiritually when the holy spirit is dwelling in us. When we are born again, we are instantly becoming a part of the body of Christ. We believe in the Almighty and we are all united by one spirit at the time of our salvation. For we are all the members of the Christ’s Body, we should be privileged that we have all the freedom that we need to work on God’s kingdom. Only when we start seeking God more and start working on His kingdom, we could experience the spiritual freedom that would set us free from all bondages and bring us eternal peace.

The next time you are about to use your freedom, make sure that whatever you do with your freedom pleases the Lord. For the freedom came from God, He also has the ability to take it away from us anytime. For Christ has sacrificed His life to obtain this freedom for us, we as the children of God should make sure that we do not misuse the freedom that we have. Christ has suffered enough for all our sins on the cross and bestowed us freedom, it all comes down to how we use this freedom that is given unto us and how wisely we use the freedom without falling back into the bondages.

Prayer For Goodwill

Father, help us to be people of goodwill. Help us genuinely to want what is best for our communities, for our nation, and for our world. Prevent us from wishing ill on anyone. Never let us forget that our Lord taught us to love our enemies and to pray for those who despitefully use us and showed us how.

It is so by Faith and by Faith so it is. AMEN❣
