Be Real With God

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalms 139:23‭-‬24 NRSV


Many people have known God for all their lives but only very few do truly know Him. The Bible speaks about the miracles of Jesus, we read of his love, forgiveness and salvation, and we praise and worship God every week but still don't truly know the heart of God. Often, we focus on the great miracles of Jesus but skim over His teachings that give the miracles their significance. This creates the difference between reading the Bible and communicating with God. Hence, pursuing a real relationship with the living God requires us to be real with God.


It begins with being truthful to ourselves and accepting our sins and our limitations. Just as we all search for something real in this world, so does God expect that from us. Even amid our imperfections, our sins and addictions, even if we are labelled as a miserable person, God still wants us to be real with Him. Only He can see through our facades, through our masks and look directly into our heart, mind and soul. He even promises to stay by our side and love us with His everlasting love. Being real with God is precisely the place to start a relationship with Him. It is important to recognize where we stand in our faith and surrender it all to God.


Hence, let's stop giving excuses to God, and use all of our time to spend with Him to be real and honest. Let us allow even the smallest message we learn from Him to change us in the smallest ways. Let us not blindly follow customs and traditions but actively seek a relationship with God each day consistently. This is the way to please God. This is the path that will lead us to transformation. For believers, salvation begins with transformation.

To build a relationship with God, learn to drive out people's opinions and call on Jesus to speak directly to our hearts. We don't need to be perfect or sinless to talk with God. All He requires is a little truth and faith from us. God accepts anyone who worships him and does what is right. Therefore in everything you do, do it genuinely from your heart. Read God's word and consistently speak with Him and seek Him in every little thing you do. These small steps are what will lead to huge transformations and miracles in life and ultimately lead us to live a life filled with real joy, love and peace.


I know, my God, that you search the heart, and take pleasure in uprightness; in the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you.

Prayer For Truth

Father, we know that you see us for who we truly are. Lord, help us to change our ways and be genuine in our relationship with you. We need your truth in our lives, Lead us so that we can be whom you called us to be in this world.

It is so by Faith and by Faith so it is. AMEN❣
