Wisdom From Above

I treasure your word in my heart, so that I may not sin against you.

Psalms 119:11 NRSV

Before I experienced God’s love when I heard the above verse it made no sense to me. I wondered how a verse, a phrase from the Bible could keep me away from sin. But now, it has become my shield, a source of strength, my bread and butter. His word reminds me that I belong to Him. It made sense when I applied it in my life, even today when I fight with the sins of the world, I just recite,

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5 NKJV

We are too good at remembering every small detail about certain incidents of our life. It would be an added bonus if we could remember and ingrain every word of God. I recall those days when my parents used to often say that, ‘if you memorize every word of God, He will give you enough knowledge and wisdom that you need’. Now this special wisdom that we get through His word is going to help us to decide the best for ourselves and make our lives much easier.

For every situation, God has given us a word that we need to claim!

Irrespective of what situation you’re in, there is a Word from God that is waiting for you. Today, I encourage you to fully rely on His word and be strengthened through every word that comes from Him.

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

Psalms 9:10 NRSV

Father, thank you for every word that you have given for me. I pray that you’d speak to me through your word and help give heed and walk by them. I love you and I trust every word that comes from you.

It is so by Faith, and by Faith so it is. AMEN❤
