Reach Out To Your Blessings

But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Romans 8:10 NRSV

Being raised in a Christian family, I was always restricted from doing certain things. At times I’ve felt like I am not living a normal life. No movie nights, restricted from staying late at a friend’s place, should never miss church or any fellowship...this list is never-ending. I never really understood the importance of all these boundaries until I trespassed them. These were boundaries that were put forth by my parents and other elders in my family, it was hard to follow, but certain things that are restricted at an early age turn out to be the things that we like to experiment on, especially if your someone like me who loves adventures and challenges. Only after I personally experienced His love, I decided to give up on unhealthy habits that became a part of my life without the knowledge of my parents. It is so true that the sin of the world will keep us away from His calling, it will separate us from Him. We can not serve God, indulging ourselves with the sins of the world. It isn’t easy to let go, but with the strength that comes from God, you and I can indeed challenge the enemy that is trying to separate us from God's love. With the calling that God has placed in your life, make sure your refrain from the sins of the world, look forward to serving the Kingdom, and eagerly wait for eternal blessings.

What God has for you, no man can steal!

Whenever I’m reminded of my past, or if I'm tempted towards anything. I recite, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed".

Isaiah 53:5 NRSV

This is my defense, it reminds me of the cross and all the pain He suffered for me. Today, I encourage you to let go of everything that is holding you back from your blessings. With His help, reach out to your blessings and serve Him till your last breath.

Father God, thank you for reminding me of your love. As I battle with the sins of the world, help me to overcome them with your word. I pray for your guidance and help me to receive what you have for me.

It is so by Faith, and by Faith so it is. AMEN❤
