In Every Season, Rejoice!

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.

Psalm 145:18-19 NIV

It’s quite hard to survive these days right? Especially with all this pandemic around the world, changing our lifestyle and everything around us. Uh..so many things are happening around us, there is some natural calamity or crime happening one after the other. Well, our own lives are quite messed up, one day we feel good and another we’re just surviving. Some say “that’s life, we need to face it”. When I was in my worst phase of life, there were few who came and said “It’s just a phase Bevy, everything is going to be fine” I’m sure we all have those good friends who stay beside and say things like these. It’s good and comforting at that moment but to practically live it is the hardest, only when we don’t have Jesus in our lives! During those worst phases of my life, I had no Jesus then, it was only my friends who I thought would help me and solve every problem. Later it hit me hard that nobody really is going to stay beside me through all my ups and downs, it could be the same people that we trust so much and rely on that would turn their backs on us. Not just friends, families too, just be careful and trust none except God. One good thing that happened during this pandemic and quarantine is that Jesus and I became so close, so close that everything I want or feel, He’s the first person to know. We became so close that even as I write this content, God whispers “You’re doing good work love”, He Guides me, I Follow. There are no confusions or doubts that I have because I know my God is the maker, He is great and above all He’s faithful. I have learned to call on Him in every season of my life, I believe He’s a part of my life and that He’s living in me. But, life after accepting Jesus, isn’t a bed of roses, it’s hard but it’’s guided by the promise keeper!

Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty, wrapped in light as with a garment. You stretch out the heavens like a tent.

Psalm 104:1-2 NRSV

I don’t know which season of life you’re in right now, but I can assure you one thing, that when you turn to Jesus and trust Him fully, life is sorted. As I always say, we can’t give way to the things of the world, or even be like a cat on a wall, world and godly and then expect God to guide us and give us everything we desire. It does not work that way with God! It’s either God or World, there are no in-betweens, the choice is yours to decide.

Remember, Life with God is much easier and less stressful!

Father, Thank you for all the love you give me. Today, I commit myself to your hands and I pray that you’d take full control over my life and lead me according to your will. Restore and Renew me!
