Matthew 8:23-27 explains the scene where Jesus got on the boat to cross to the other shore. Suddenly, they were hit with a storm and all the disciples started panicking. Even after witnessing all the miracles that God has worked, the disciples were still fearful when they were in the midst of the storm.
Fear is something that we face in our daily lives. One moment our life goes just as we anticipated it to be, and in the next moment, we find ourselves struggling to hold on. As children of God, we should always keep in mind that the Lord will always be with us in whatever situation we face.
Looking back, the disciples had no reason to be afraid in that situation for they were with the King of Kings, yet they decided to choose Fear over Faith. A lot of us know that God will always be there to help us but when we face hardship in life, we begin to lose our faith.
The faith that we have should not be shaken in any situation. For faith alone defeats fear, we should learn to rely on our God no matter how difficult the situation seems to be. We should trust that the Lord will always be our source of strength in overcoming the storm and all we have to do is to put our faith in Him.
Be still, and know that I am God!

Prayer For Faith
Father, help me never to lose faith in the hard situations of my life. Please let me know that you are always with me, that you care about me, that you support me. Don’t let me hesitate, but make me stay strong in my faith.
It is so by Faith and by Faith so it is. AMEN❣
