By Grace, Through Faith

The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:  “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” 

Numbers 6:22‭-‬26 NIV

To be gracious means to show kindness, favor, and compassion. God is gracious because He is love and He is longing to be gracious to us. Just like how parents take care of their children and try to give them everything they need, God also is more loving and compassionate towards us. Even when we disobey Him, or do something that does not please Him, He still remains to be gracious. That is why we sinners have been saved and accepted into the Kingdom of God. It is purely by His Grace that we are alive and saved, if not His Grace, you and I would have no clue of what kind of life we would be living by now. Isn’t it amazing to know that God is waiting to be gracious to us and to love us? Instead of receiving this love, we keep running around in search of love. But today, God says that He is longing to show His Grace and Love upon us, we have been created because He loves us and He is never stingy with what He gives. There could be no one on earth to forgive and accept us just the way we are. He is forever loving and gracious.

Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

Isaiah 30:18 NRSV

His Grace and our faith are closely knit friends, they can make wonders in our lives and give us the strength we need to walk in our faith every day. If we lack faith and ask God to do wonders, I’m sure He won’t even if He wants to. All that God wants from us is to completely trust Him and wait for His Grace to manifest in our lives.

Lord, I thank you for your grace and unfailing love. I pray that you’d help me to stand firm in my faith and wait upon you, let your grace take control over my life. By grace, through faith.

It is so by Faith, and by Faith so it is. AMEN❤
